How to rent a cheap hostel in Venice

Before a trip to Venice, it is worth considering that for a tourist this is the most expensive city in Italy. How to spend cheap nights in Venice? Booking a bed in a hostel is a great alternative to traditional hotels and apartments.

The cost of overnight in hostels in Venice ranges from 25 to 45 euros per day per person. To find something decent cheaper is almost impossible and I categorically do not recommend staying in such places.

Consider the five best hostels in Venice with good location and guest reviews.

Anda Venice Hostel

Anda Venice Hostel is one of the best, according to tourist reviews, hostels in Venice, located in the Mestre district near the train station.

Accommodation in a 6 or 9 bed room will cost from 22 to 25 euros per night. Couples have the opportunity to rent a budget room for 98 euros. The hostel has friendly staff, clean, good soundproofing and the option to order breakfast for 7 euros - in terms of price and quality, this is the number one accommodation option in our personal rating.

You can get to the historic center of Venice by public transport by bus or train in 15 minutes.

Wombat's CITY HOSTEL

The new wombat's CITY HOSTEL hostel opened at the end of 2018. Located near Mestre station. Within a 5-minute walk there is an Interspar supermarket with cheap products relative to other Venice stores.

A bed in a shared 8-bed room for men and women will cost 37 euros per night, a 6-bed room for 41 euros and a 4-bed room for 49 euros. Companies of 4 people have the opportunity to book a room for 189 euros. It is possible to order breakfast on site for 5.90 euros.

Women only Youth Venice Palace

Youth Hostel Venice Palace is located in the historic center of Venice, just a short walk from Piazza San Marco, but only women are accommodated.

A single bed in a female dormitory room costs 47 euros. The nearest vaporetto stop S. Zaccaria is 500 meters away.

L'imbarcadero

L'Imbarcadero Hostel is located directly on the Grand Canal, just a 5-minute walk from Venezia Santa Lucia Main Station.

A single bed in a 5-bed dormitory room for men and women costs EUR 45 per night. Guests can cook their own meals in the shared kitchen. Nearby is the vaporetto stop Riva de Biasio.

Ostello S. Fosca

Ostello S. Fosca Hostel is located in a former convent and is well located, just a 10-minute walk from the Rialto Bridge.

Accommodation in a 4 or 6-bed room will cost 40 euros per night. Nearby there are two supermarkets with inexpensive, by Venetian standards, products. The San Marcuola vaporetto stop is 200 meters from the hostel. Each guest is allocated a locker with a key to store personal items.

I wish you a comfortable and economical vacation in Venice, if you need advice on choosing an inexpensive hostel, I will once answer your questions in the comments.
