How to get from Verona Airport to the city center

The airport in Verona (Aeroporto Valerio Catullo) is located 10 km from the city center, and is named after one of the most famous poets of ancient Rome, Gaia Valeriu Catulla. The second name of the airport is Villafranca.

Aeroflot and S7 airlines operate daily direct flights to Moscow from Verona.

You can get from the airport to the city by bus or taxi. Consider in detail the pros and cons of each method.

By bus

From the airport to the Verona Central Station (Verona Porta Nuova), a special N199 bus runs every 20 minutes. Tickets cost 6 euros, travel time 15 minutes. You can buy a ticket with an open date / time online in advance on the official website atv.linkavel.com - this is very convenient if you do not want to waste time upon arrival.

It remains to enter the card data and press PROCEDI. Electronic tickets will be sent to you by mail. Please note that the form of payment is available in Italian, English, Spanish, French or German.

You can also buy a bus ticket to Verona without any problems upon arrival.

Please note that the central train station in Verona is 2 kilometers from the historic center. Perhaps in order to get to the hotel faster, you should consider the option of a taxi.

The distance from the train station to the Arena di Verona and the historical center is about 2 km. You can walk for 30 minutes, which is not convenient with suitcases, or take city buses N 11, 12, 13, 51, 52. The fare is 1.3 euros, the ticket is bought in a vending machine at the bus stop and composted at the entrance to the bus.

By taxi

For a trip from the airport to the city center, taxis have special fixed rates. A trip to the station in the daytime will cost you 26 euros, and to the historic center - 30 euros. In the evening and on weekends, the cost rises by 4 and 5 euros, respectively.

A taxi rank is located immediately at the arrivals terminal.

Transfer

The transfer fee starts from 44 euros. A comfortable business class car will cost 53 euros - this option is suitable for those who would like to get the maximum service and pay everything in advance.
