Biography

Eros Ramazotti was born on October 28, 1963 in the Roman quarter of Cinecitt and became the second child of his parents. Eros's older brother's name is Marco. The father of the Rodolfo family (Rodolfo) worked in the construction industry and painted at home, the mother of Raffaella Ramazzotti Molina (Raffaella Ramazzotti Molina) was engaged in the house and children.

Childhood

The mother decided to call her second son the name of the god of love of Greece, because she adored her husband and was glad to have common children.

In 1981, an 18-year-old musician decided to announce himself at the Italian festival “New Voices” (“Voci Nuove”), which was held in Castrocaro Terme (Castrocaro Terme), performing his song “Rock'80” (“Rock 80’s "). The competition, in search of new talents, was attended by representatives of various recording studios.

Ramazotti did not win that day, but he did not lose. He reached the final, which made it possible to conclude the first contract with the DDD studio through its representative and jury member, Baron Lando Lanni. The company office was in Milan and Eros moves there for permanent residence. For lack of money for rental housing, he lives for several days right in the studio. Together with him, his mother and brother go to Milan.

In 1982, DDD recorded the first Ramasotti song “Ad un amico” (“Dedication to a Friend”), the sponsors blindly believed in the talent and capabilities of the young man, from the very beginning they saw him as an international artist. But that composition did not bring fame to Eros. The musician did not despair and fate gave him a meeting with the composer Renato Brioschi, who became a friend, assistant and mentor to young talent.

True success

  • In 1984, Ramazotti again became a participant in a vocal competition. He performs at the Sanremo Festival with Terra promessa (Promised Land), which he was helped to write by Brioche and Alberto Salerno. The composition was so successful that it brought the performer an unconditional victory. Eros became the winner of the contest and his song became the leader of hire in Italy and Europe.

The next album of the popular singer was called "In certi momenti" ("At a specific time"). It was released in 1987 in the amount of 900 thousand pieces and immediately rose to the tops of the Italian charts. To date, bought about 4 million copies of the album.

In 1988, the first and only Ramazotti mini-album "Musica e" ("Music") was recorded. Including 5 tracks. A little later an extended version of 8 tracks was released.

In 1990, the world saw the album "In ogni senso" ("In any sense"). His presentation was organized in Venice and more than 200 press representatives from different countries arrived at the event. The album was one of the most recognized and subsequently rewritten in 15 countries. In Germany, its sales exceeded 500 thousand copies, 150 thousand units were bought in Switzerland, and more than 100 thousand units in the Netherlands. The highlight of the album was its name, it is found at least once in each song of the collection.

In 1993, Eros introduced the album "Tutte storie" ("All Stories"), thanks to which he was able to conclude a contract for work with the Bertelsmann Music Group (Bertelsmann Music Group). The album is sold out in 6 million copies.

In 1996, the disc "Dove c'è musica" ("Where the music is") was released. This is Ramazotti's first album, where he is his own producer. He also wrote all the lyrics for the songs and music himself. Worldwide sales reached 7 million copies, the disk won the title of best in the year.

In 2000, the world heard Ramazotti's album "Stilelibero" ("Freestyle"), although his recording was planned for 2001. But J. Morandi with the release of his collection "Come fa bene l'amore" accelerated the process of birth of Ramazotti's album, who did not want to be in the shadow of Morandi for a long time.

In 2003, Eros presented the ninth collection of songs, which he called "9". The author positions the lyrics in part as autobiographical. He devotes these melodies to his wife Michelle Hunziker, daughter Aurora and mother Raffaello. The collection becomes the record holder for sales and is included in the top 100 discs of 95 weeks.

In 2005, Eros Ramazotti gives himself a present by recording the album "Calma apparente" ("Apparent Calm")dedicated to another period of his own life - parting with Michelle.

In 2009, the album "Ali e radici" ("Wings and Roots"), co-authored with Claudio Guidetti. Over 8 weeks, distributors sold 300 thousand copies.

In 2012, Eros presents the album “Noi” (“We”), dedicated to the common values ​​of mankind: love, freedom, friendship. In 2013, the album “Noi Due” (“We Are Two”) was released, which is a re-recording of the Noi album with 3 new singles.
