Silvio Berlusconi was left without a Christmas tree for Christmas

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was left without a Christmas tree, according to Italian magazine Corriere della Sera. The thing is that Berlusconi is in an extremely difficult financial situation for him, and he simply can not afford to put a green beauty.

Numerous lawsuits and protracted proceedings left the former Prime Minister of Italy on the brink of ruin. He recently admitted to reporters that this year he will not put the main symbol of Christmas and New Year at his huge villa Belvedere (Villa Belvedere) Dei Visconti Di Modrone in Makerio (northern part of the Lombardy region).

From year to year, Berlusconi installed a huge Christmas tree in his villa. However, this year the tradition will be interrupted. Berlusconi is also forced to close Villa Bilvedere, the content of which costs him more than 2 million euros per year. According to various sources, the politician’s residence has already cut off electricity, and staff (about 20 people) have been notified of the reduction.

After a divorce from his wife, the 77-year-old millionaire was obliged to regularly pay huge amounts to his ex-wife. Initially, the court ruled that the amount of payments should be 36 million euros, but later the bar was reduced to one million 400 thousand euros.

The scandalous divorce of the politician dragged on for almost three years due to the fact that the couple could not share the property they had acquired together and determine the amount of alimony. According to Italian law, after a divorce, a wife must receive an amount of money for which she could live as well as in marriage.

Belrusconi's ex-wife, 57-year-old actress Veronica Lario, was the first to file for divorce. According to her, she could no longer tolerate the endless betrayals of her famous husband. However, after the divorce, Berlusconi very quickly found a replacement for his former soul mate. Almost a year ago, he announced his engagement to the former beauty queen, 27-year-old Francesca Pascal, who is 49 years younger than the Italian ex-prime minister.

It is assumed that the new darling of Berlusconi may also be left without a gift for the New Year and Christmas. Most likely, the politician will abandon the idea of giving Pascal a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which the girl has long dreamed of. Berlusconi explained that he does not share the enthusiasm of his new girlfriend, for security reasons.

Meanwhile, a new girlfriend of the former prime minister recently told reporters that she is determined to take an “inventory” of the property of her 77-year-old groom. Pascale explained her decision by saying that she was simply amazed when she found out that Berlusconi considers it acceptable to buy a can of green peas for 80 euros, which is ten times higher than the average cost of this product.

In the meantime, the couple is planning their Christmas holidays. Some sources claim that the lovers intend to celebrate Christmas with loved ones in one of the Berlusconi villas, after which they gather for a ski resort.
